Good spot to anchor with no issues!

Review for Zippy Cove

LOA: 48'
Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:4Current Flow:5Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:5Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:2Pet Friendly:2Cell Service:3Zippy Branch is right across Yellow Creek from Grand Harbor Marina and a mile and half off Pickwick Lake. The inlet is simple to navigate. Enter in the middle and move towards the back, staying in the middle all the way. There is 35 feet of water (414 pool) at entrance, 20 feet at icon and 12 feet 300 yards past the icon towards the back of the cove with 300 feet of usable space for swing room. The anchorage is well off the creek so whatever wakes are generated die before getting too deep in. There are really high banks all around the cove for excellent wind protection with the exception of big winds from the north. Holding is good. Cell reception is 3 bars for ATT, 2 for Verizon and T-Mobile. There is unimproved shore access at the back of the cove for Fido or you can motor over to the fuel dock at Grand Harbor for a pizza.
