We spent four nights in this anchorage due to poor weather (high winds from the south and rain). The anchorage is exposed from the north. Room for one boat to anchor with swing room. Anchored in 15' of water. I use a range finder to make sure there is adequate room to swing at anchor. Due to the time of year, we had the anchorage to ourselves. It would be easy to take a dog ashore to the sand spit. We had Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile cell service.

This anchorage offers a quick off and on from the channel and is an acceptable anchorage when winds are from the south. Exit channel towards RDB and turn south into the cove with 27 feet of water on entrance and 18 feet at the icon. Anchor at the icon with sufficient swing room for one boat with good protection from the SE to the SW and exposures from the NW to the NE. Protection is good but protection here is limited. There is a campground on the point and your evenings may be sharing your evenings with shore bound friends. If you need to get your dog ashore there is a sandy landing on the west side of the cove with no outside access. Cellular service is good for ATT and Verizon and marginal for T-Mobile.
