This spot will not win awards, though it can be picturesque. Shoal draft boats ONLY! You've been warned.

So you made in in the creek inlet and chewed your nails to a nub when you followed the ATONs (believe them) and made the big swing around deep point with your boat closer to a sand beach than any sane helmsman would ever navigate without local knowledge. Then you followed the ever shifting ATONs getting in and what? This is an anchorage? Yup. Just to the north of the symbol on the chart, head north out of the marked channel into the cove by R2, where you'll find about 5 feet of water pretty consistently.

If you've made it this far, you are in a safe place for the night or to wait out weather. If you don't have a shoal draft boat, you were aground about a mile back—this isn't your place if you draw much more than 3.5-4 feet.
