There are a lot of local power boats and some jet skis during the day. We stayed here on a mildly windy night so we didn't experience any rolling. We did not experience current. We anchored about 1000 feet from the beach and there was also shore access on Duck Island (you can anchor closer to Duck as well but since winds were going to come out of the West, we chose the beach) Holding was fantastic - as soon as we set our anchor, it stuck and about 2 minutes after setting we had a squall come through with 27-30kt winds at and we didn't budge. I can't comment on ease of shopping because we didn't go ashore but it looks like a residential/beach location and not a village.
