We tucked up from wind in 8 feet of water about 3/4 of the way up between channel markers 2 and 3 under a spit of land. Land is low so wind is a factor, but honestly, it was not, even though gusting in excess of twenty. Caught a few small fish in keeping with most anchorages, but fun anyway. Only a few houses visible. We did get hit by a couple of wakes, but that is boat life.

Excellent holding despite 180degree wind shifts overnight . A few waterman work the area , but it adds to its character and everyone seems friendly . No better spot to spend a night and enjoy the sunset . Good protection from SW to ENE

This is the one we have used for decades. A surprising bonus is that this excellent anchorage also has excellent 5G cell service.
Limitation: the creek is narrow and would get crowded if the total number of boats is over about 6 - a little more if everyone is skilled and considerateView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

From this mark proceed directly towards the Little Choptank – Hudson Creek anchorage icon in water slowly diminishing to 8 feet mlw at the icon. Anchor anywhere from the anchorage icon towards the southeast for 300 yards with a constant 8 feet of water. Easily room for 6-8 large boats. Holding is excellent in clay/mud. Our anchor set immediately and did not budge. The anchorage is open to the southeast but has good wave protection from all other points of the compass. The low lying shoreline allows the wind to come across the water from all directions. There is a tidal current in the anchorage so, in light winds, expect to swing with the tide. Although the anchorage is somewhat open, we were comfortable in winds to 15 mph. We would stay here again even in higher winds.
There appears to be two small sandy spots at low tide to take a dog ashore. The first is halfway down the spit to the southeast and the second is a small area on the opposite shore behind Red "2". No shopping opportunities. Surprisingly good cell service, despite the feeling of being away from town that the anchorage has. We anchored here on a lovely Friday evening and there was very little boat traffic. Only one commercial boat came by in the morning at six to remind us that we were on the water.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Dropped the hook which dug in well to the muddy bottom. Weather forecasts a max gusts of 11knts tonight so we're well protected. So quiet here!

There's really two spots - the first is the most popular and marked on the map, but the second has plenty of depth for most boats, and when I was there had no boats - just a short distance from the marked anchorage. Wakes from powerboats are present, but not a lot. Did have to set anchor a second time - first didn't take at all. Second set just fine in mud.

However it was after a hurricane passed off shore and the water was high so there was no beach access. Had to take dog to other side of the river to find shore access. This was a very nice anchorage and if water levels aren’t up it would be excellent.
