Anchored to the north in Sellman Creek. Good holding in 8 feet of water with soft mud. Good wind and current protection all around. No real commercial access ashore but a beautiful natural environment.

Spent the weekend here with the kids. Great area to toss the kayaks in the water. Took the dingy around to the Smithsonian Natural Research Center for hiking and learning about the Chesapeake Bay.

Great protection from the weather. No WiFi but good cellular connectivity. Good place to get away from it all although the anchorage can get busy on the weekends.

We anchor by Flat Island for access to pet relief. The anchorage is totally protected and one of the problems is in thinking that the conditions at the anchorage represent the conditions on the bay - not so - as I found out several times. The wind can be 5 kts in the anchorage while it's blowing 20 to 30 out in the bay, I have experienced that! Otherwise, great sunsets, wildlife, calm, just a perfect anchorage.
