This is a well protected, secluded anchorage with 8-20 feet of water in sand with excellent holding. Protected by South Cat Cay to the west and shallow flats to the east. We experienced 35 knots of west wind and 20 knots of south, east, and north winds without issue. The current is strong here and you will swing on the current if the wind is under 15 knots.
The area is full of marine life; we saw sea turtles, rays, and sharks in the crystal clear water. Several beaches lie along the eastern shore for exploration and dog walks, but as of February 2017 a new development has begun construction on this part of the island. Shore access may change in the future.
