I was informed during my stay that docks will be taken out of the water and I needed to leave. The original date was on the website as October 31 not 18. My electricity was turned off even though it was during the time I paid for. Dockmaster was very nice but it was all beyond his control.

    WG Editor Comment:
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. First and foremost, we would like to apologize for this experience. Although, as you noted, we do not control the date the docks are removed from the water, we did not proactively communicate with the city to ensure we were informed of updated removal dates as we neared the end of the season. We hope you all were able to find alternate accommodations for the remainder of your time in our area, and to have the opportunity to welcome you back next year.

We came in after closing but we were greeted on the dock by a staff member who helped get a sit situated before he left for the day. Excellent accommodations with water and electric right at the site. Easy to access from the river and close to everything downtown.

Troy Downtown Marina is at mile 150.0 on the Hudson River and is 2 miles short of the first lock on the Erie and Champlain Canals, Lock E-1, also known as the Federal Lock. It is also just 6 miles short of Waterford and, if space is not available there, serves as an acceptable alternative overnight stay before entering the Erie or Champlain Canals. The marina consists of a floating dock (there is a five foot tide here) tied to the concrete river bulkhead. 30 and 50 amp power is available as is fresh water. There is fuel and a pump out on the dock and three clean key coded bathrooms in the parking lot next to the marina office. Troy Downtown Marina is no operated by Oasis Marinas and booking is done through Snag-a-Slip. There is a very popular barbeque restaurant 100 yards downstream from marina and a good hardware nearby. Price Chopper supermarket is about a half mile from the marina across the 19th St. Bridge.

We have stopped in Troy twice, making sure that we are there on Saturday when a very large (200 stalls) farmers market takes place about a mile downstream and a couple of blocks inland takes place. It is one of the best markets that we have ever seen and we are looking forward to properly scheduling our next visit to be on a Saturday.

I would have rated it 5 stars which is typical for most Oasis Marinas. However, I was disappointed when the Troy Harbor Master advised the fuel dock would be open at 8AM the next morning. I was alongside at 8AM, and with the office still not open at 8:30 I called the number posted at the fuel dock and left a voicemail. The number was good as I spoke with them the day prior. You guessed it, no reply so another call at 9AM and requested a simple call if there was a problem? No reply (since that day)? All they had to do was let me know 8AM would not be possible. Certainly not what you would expect from an Oasis Marina....

The staff at the marina were attentive and very friendly. The washrooms were clean and air-conditioned. We felt safe enough on the dock but a lock for the gate down would be a nice addition. Also, the market on Saturday is well worth a visit.

The location was great because of the access to Troy. I can't believe that the gate at the top of the ramp did not lock as there were quite a few homeless people with obvious mental health issues in close proximity.

We spent 6 nights here due to the locks being closed. Great restaurants/bars steps from the dock. Good bath/showers conveniently located. Island Laundromat just across the bridge. Enjoyed this stop and would recommend it.

Nice location, however the WiFi was not working nor was the pump out. There was something off with my cell carrier that day so no the no wifi was a big deal. There is also an issue on the app where when making a reservation if you select a certain power requirement it would show as no space available even tho there was plenty of room. None of these seem like big issues to fix but they were all well known by everyone. Staff was nice and attentive, I don’t blame them for the items not working. The area has lots of bar/food options. In an age where everything gets more expensive you really look for your moneys worth when docking.

Dockmaster was pleasant and helped with docking.  Power pole was cracked and wobbled.  Pump out was broken and no WiFi.  Restroom code was passed quickly with the thought the ascending number etched on the keypad due to use.  It was an electric lock with no wear marks.  After I found that there should have been a BoatUS discount.  Apparently with redoing the website that was left off.

Dock Master was a great help. He received a package for me and delivered it to our boat. He also provided good recommendations for a laundromat which we used Uber to reach. The floating piers are in great shape and electrical and water supply were quite reliable. About the only amenities available on shore are several decent looking restaurants. There are no grocery stores within reasonable walking distance, however. Also missing is WiFi access.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances we had issues with our reservation here, through no fault of the marina personnel or their system. They managed it professionally and kept us in constant communication as to the status. The staff truly cares about their customers and it shows. Easy access to the awesome Troy Farmers market. Some of the best smoked meats you'll ever eat at Dinosaur BBQ. Toilets / showers, while on a mobile platform, were actually quite nice. Solid docks. Fuel and pump out available with solid electric.

Good lay along access to nice sturdy docks w 30 & 50 amp power. Good access to the city and all that it offers. Calm conditions as it is in a fairly well observed no wake zone. Several commercial locations for food and drink nearby.

The marina is a floating face dock on the Hudson River LDB just above the Federal Street Bridge. The depth is 19' MLW, the docks are floating (6' tide even this far up) and they are new. The power pedestals (with water) are also in good shape. The dockmaster and his assistant made a point of meeting us on the dock to assist us and give us useful local information. There is fuel and pump out available at the north end of the dock. The marina is "bare bones. The bathrooms are up on the promenade in a trailer. There is no laundry. There is a gate to the dock but it remained open at night. The docks were well illuminated. There is not marina Wi-Fi. The dock was full with 7 40-50' foot boats tied up. The Federal Lock is about a mile upstream. Reservations are made through Snag-a-Slip.

We came in on Friday for the Saturday Farmer's Market which has quite the reputation. There was no problem delaying our departure until after noon. The market is held just south of the Federal Street Bridge and just off the river. The area that the market is held in is filled with interesting stores and restaurants that, under other circumstances, we would love to spend time browsing. There is a large selection of restaurants within a half mile of the dock. We had an excellent meal at Dinosaur Bar-b-que on the river. The location, the service we received, the Farmer's Market all contribute to the 4 star rating that we feel is justified for this marina.

We took a chance on this marina. It is worth the stop. The new docks are well built and offer good power and water. There is now Wifi. The dock master was great with docking assistance and offering information about the town. The area has been updated, lots of local restaurants easlily accessible. I was surprised at the tide this far up the Hudson. It is located just below the first lock on the Hudson. Ships and barges pass by, interesting to watch and listen to them. Plenty of depth dockside.

We didn't stay here because it wasn't time to stop yet but I definitely would in the future! BRAND new docks along the city wall with great electric and diesel. Super barbeque restaurant at the top of the ramp. Very pleasant folks who work here. If you don't stay the night, it's a great place to fuel up before you start the Erie or continue up to Lake Champlain.
