Gold Looper 2023.
This marina is miles ahead of almost every one of the 137 marinas or clubs at which we stayed while on the Loop - and we stayed at some nice stops.
To go on, I would only repeat the things already said about dockhands staff, care of the facilities, docks etc.
This is the 6th time we stayed here, and we purposely plan it that way.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

This is one of the best marinas we have come across on the Loop. Access to the marina is very easy from the entrance to the Trent River and the marina fairways are wide. The slips can be a bit narrow depending on the beam of the two boats. Our beam is 16' 8" and we could not fit in our initial assigned slip due to the beam of the adjacent boat. But the marina moved us to a wider slip without a problem, and dock hands were waiting at the slip to help us tie up. The floating docks are sturdy with power/water pedestals conveniently spaced between every two slips. The pedestals provide both 30- and 50-amp service. Each private restrooms have a shower and were very clean. Free laundry and excellent WiFi throughout the marina. The marinas issues key cards for the gates on the main docks so security is very good. There is a grocery store across the street from the marina, and downtown Trenton is a five-minute walk with a variety of restaurants. We dined at Tomasso's Italian Grille on Front Street and the food was very good. The marina will as for a copy of your boat insurance when you check in, so you will need to have a copy the document they can copy or a soft copy you can email to them. We would definitely stop here again.

One of the best marinas on the loop. First class. Docks are solid floating, shopping within walking distance, shore power good and included in dockage, plenty of helpful staff, each private restroom has its own shower, laundry is free with 2 washers and dryers, WiFi works great, security gate to the docks, great boaters lounge. 30 & 50 amp available on the pedestals. Almost everything is new or seems so here. They do ask for your insurance coverage document to copy or email to them. Would definitely stop back.

Trent Port Marina. One night 5/31/2024. A large marina familiar with the needs of loopers and boats venturing on the waterway. The facilities and grounds are well kept providing excellent security with swipe badge entry at each pier. The main facility offers private restroom/shower units, laundry, and boater lounge. It appears transients are assigned to the India pier which is the northern most pier. Of convenience is the nearby Metro store. I recommend this marina.

A great marina. Great staff. Boaters lounge was comfortable. Bathrooms are tied with the marina a Orillia for the best we have ever experienced. Free laundry with soap and drier sheet. If you have a 40+ foot boat as for a slip near the end of "I" dock - finger docks are about 8' longer.

The crew of Living the Dream (Larry & Mary Bailey) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trent Port Marina. We had originally intended to stay only one night, then extended to 2 nights, and ultimately stayed 4 nights. The town of Trenton, ON is wonderful and welcoming. We visited the Farmers Market, local groceries for provisions, several restaurants, the cinema, the Chamber of Commerce, the local Bank, and other local businesses. The marina itself is 'like new' condition, spotlessly clean, luxury showers, and excellent WiFi. Marina staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Amenities at the marina included outdoor gas grills, picnic tables, and as well as a marine supply store with on duty mechanic (which we used for some much-needed repairs; Watercraft Marine Dave Gartshore was the awesome!!) We'll be back if we travel this way again!

Save yourself some time and look for any other marina in the area unless you have $2,000,000 liability coverage which is a requirement at this marina in 2021.
WG Editor Comment:
Update from Marina Management:
'We have discussed the issue of liability insurance with our insurers and the municipality that owns Trent Port Marina and we are prepared to handle insurance on a case by case basis. In the case of American flagged boats, we will be happy to make an exception and accept $1 Million liability. We sincerely apologize for the confusion this has caused. We were unaware that our policy had presented issues for American vessels. We hope to welcome you to Trent Port Marina soon.'
Marina Response:
Trent Port Marina requires $2 Million liability from all of its seasonal boaters. It's standard in Canada and our boaters have no issue obtaining it. The cost increase from $1 Million is only about $25 in most cases. However, since we implemented the $2 Million liability policy, the CanadaI/US borders have been closed and we were unaware that our American friends are unable to easily obtain that coverage. We are working with the City's insurance department to come to a solution so everyone coming from the US can visit us as soon as possible. We will have more information very soon so please watch this space! In the meantime, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thanks for the opportunity to respond.

I agree with everyones' positive reviews of this facility. Showers that are spotlessly clean: big enough to swing a cat in, glass wall so you don't get the spins as badly, and water temp controls mounted out of the range of the shower head so you don't get soaked turning them on. Very knowledge dock hands who are trained by some of the resident boaters. It is also a handy spot to leave your boat to travel to Toronto or Montreal by train as the train station is only a few miles away. They will receive shipments, including from the Online Rope Store which is just to the north.

Awesome facilities. Beautiful gardens that are well maintained. Marina facilities are spotless, user friendly and include so many little extras. Walking distance to downtown (shops and restaurants). Quiet at night. Super break water system. Docks are solid although floating. Gated docks. Staff offer the best customer service we’ve experienced. By far the best marina we’ve lived at for the season.

In addition to everything said above, we want to add, and this is important as year round liveaboards, the docks are secure and so well engineered that even with water levels 4 to 5 feet above normal we actually notice No Effects from the Spring high water levels.

This is by far the cleanest marina I have seen in all my years of boating. The amenities are top of the line and the service is over the top. There are many little touches that are pleasant surprises such as large capacity laundry that is free and an herb garden for everybody’s use. I will recommend this marina to every boater I know.

This place KNOWS WHATS UP! Let me start by telling you that this facility is BEAUTIFUL. The town has clearly pumped a lot of money and effort into the area and it is not to be missed. They have wi-fi that ACTUALLY works, FREE laundry (including Tide Pods) and even coffee/muffins in the AM. Even after mentioning all of this...the bathrooms are seriously the highlight. They are individual rooms (as a live aboard boater, this is sooo luxurious) and they are not only posh but kept incredibly clean.
There is also a Metro (literally) across the street and plenty of dining options within walking distance. PERFECT spot to provision before heading up the Trent Severn Waterway.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
