This place is dangerous, filthy, and unprofessional. No one ever answers the phone. The building and showers are disgusting, with mold, feces on the toilets, and used band-aids in the showers that have remained there for weeks. There is often no toilet paper available. When you rent a transient slip, they don't inform you of your placement until you arrive, only to find your boat positioned on an open public dock with a broken security gate, leaving it fully accessible to the public. Car alarms blare throughout the night for hours, homeless individuals sleep on the boardwalk and benches, and people fish with poles and nets right beside your vessel on the public dock. Others bathe and swim in the marina cut like it’s a third-world scene, mere feet from your yacht, with no safety or security measures in place. The restrooms are infested with roaches and ants, while vending machines remain sold out for months. They only provide one facility key for two people on board and charge $30 for an extra key, which must be returned. On our dock, there are gypsies and hoarders, with construction work from other vessels creating hazards, such as electric lines running across the dock. We have encountered individuals clearly under the influence of drugs, rambling and acting erratically just steps away from our boat. Despite their website's appealing images, the reality of this place is horrendous and not worth the money.

    WG Editor Comment:
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review and feedback. We strive to provide a remarkable experience for all of our guests and are disappointed when expectations are not met. As you note in your review, we are still undergoing the process of repairing damages and issues that have resulted from the recent hurricanes. These storms not only affected the city phone lines, which prevented us from receiving your initial calls the day of your arrival, but also caused damages to our facilities, amenities like the bathrooms, and vessels belonging to our long-term slip holders. Due to our unique location directly on the beach, we are exposed to greater effects from hurricanes, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these recovery efforts.

great location, beach is awesome to the north but full south of pier, fishing pier, whiskey creek to explore (beware of derelict boats on creek just north of marina, do not swim there) check bridge clearance and be aware of depth in marina. docks not in best shape and have never seen pump-out system working. otherwise a good place to visit.
