Made a reservation to stay here. We got there and the current was so strong that we couldn't even start to get into the slip. There would have been damage if I forced it. So luckily we found another place. I canceled the reservation and they didn't charge me. It's three stars because of the current. Apparently that side of the ICW is noted for strong current, so just be aware of it if you're thinking of staying there.

The services are somewhat limited with no pump out or laundry but the Dockmaster is awesome. He worked with us to get an engine part delivered. You are very close to everything in Morehead City. Great Stop!

Super people. decent floating docks. There is strong WiFi (one listing I read said no WiFi). Clean showers and restrooms very close. Close to many restaurants. But a pretty long bike ride to grocery store. Longer to the ABC Beverage location. Not too bike friendly roads.
Couple negatives: Can get waked or wind driven waves from SW. Docks open to public incursion so practice normal security. A laundry would be a great addition.
Would stay again.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Loved the service provided in helping us dock and repeated phone calls and check ups to see that we were ok - especially during a storm. Craig and his team are awesome. Great location and bathrooms clean (did not use shower). Lots of restraints nearby. Call ahead to get advised on currents and docking for a smoother entry to this area.

We were so very pleased from the moment we arrived. Everyone mentions Lee, and we will do the same. Lee is the best of the best. He assisted us when docking, made sure we had info on what things were around us, gave us a map of the area and he was extremely nice. We will always have Morehead City Transient Docks on our list of places to stay as long as Lee is around.

Great location - steps to historic downtown Morehead City with plenty of fine restaurants & bars, and Lee, the dockmaster, is fantastic. He answered all our calls immediately, even during off hours, met us at the dock and handled our lines like a pro. The current can be strong so call Lee ahead of time to find out the best time to arrive.

Nice facility, docks in good shape with tight cleats. Slips had markers showing it was reserved (for us) so locals would not pull into our spot,
Power and water on site (no pumpout).
Bathroom and showers were clean.
Current, wind and wake were not an issue.
Only draw back was nobody on site to help with the lines coming in (I could have called the Dockmaster on the phone and he said he would come down to help with 20 min notice, so I guess it's not all that bad)View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
