Very quaint. One slip, no electric, but the shower was in the restaurant along with the laundry. Best thing about this place was the great food. Best gumbo I have had in a long time.

As you're going up the bayou, you'll think you've gone too far. As you a approach a low bridge, you'll wonder, where the heck is this place. JUST before the low bridge, turn right, and there it is. Very good gas prices, although a very slow pump. While they filled it up for me, I went inside and got an excellent fried shrimp po-boy for lunch.

Recently had the priviledge of stopping for a couple of overnights at Peggy's on the Bayou. Passed this way several times before on the ICWW, but never before turned up Cow Bayou. Pleasant surprise!
When we arrived, we found we had an issue with our boat. Without being asked, Peggy found a place to purchase what we needed, and her husband, Richard, drove my wife the 15 miles to pick it up. They would not take any money for gas, etc.... Overall, the food was excellent and the customer service could not be beat! Plenty of depth, as tugs use the bayou daily. Highly recommend! Don't order 3 pancakes...View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
