Friendly and helpful staff made our stay comfortable. Other seasonal boaters on the dock gave great tips on visiting Boothbay. We took our dinghy across the bay to visit the downtown Boothbay and restaurants. It's a 15-minute walk. Brown's Wharf doesn't have the staffing to open their restaurant. The Whale's Tale restaurant next door had a nice menu and good service. The Lobster Shack had live music with a lively crowd. We took an Uber to the Coastal Maine Botanic Gardens-- the largest garden in New England with scenic walking woodland trails and beautiful maintained gardens. (Lots of attention and activities for children.)
