Very nice marina, everything is very close. We could not make the entrance during low tide, because of the shoaling at the harbor entrance. Saw 7' at 4' high tide.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The dock staff is very courteous and efficient, and did an excellent job getting us tied up and connected to shore power. The marina is a very easy walk to the historic Georgetown waterfront with numerous restaurants, shops, and museums to visit.
Approach death were about 8' at low tide, and there are lots of cleats on the floating docks that made timing up a breeze.
Marina facilities are very clean, in very good condition, and inviting to use. We didn't really need to do any laundry, but did so anyway because the facilities were so nice. Another big plus is the price on diesel fuel. We looked on Waterway Guide didn't find a cheaper fuel price between the marina and along the way to where we were headed in St. Augustine. So although we still had a ¾ fuel load, we decided to top off at $4.25/ gallon since most places along the route south were greater than $5/ gal, and a few were over $6/gal!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harborwalk Marina and plan to stay here again when we come back this way.Business Response:
Thank you so much for your kind review. We strive to have the cleanest and well kept marina and hold fuel cost as low as possible! We want every customer to have a great experience when they visit Georgetown SC.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

This was my second time in Georgetown and my first time at this marina. I really liked it.
I had ample assistance docking for fuel, fueling, pumping out, and moving to my parking spot along a long dock close to land. Both of the dock hands working during my three-night visit were very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. My spot was relatively unaffected by wind and wake on the river. The floating docks are in excellent condition. The restrooms, laundry room, and lounge are clean and well-maintained. Although there is no security gate, signs restricting dock access to boat owners kept sightseers off. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay.
The marina is very dog friendly. There's plenty of grass nearby for dogs to do their business and run around. (Please pick up after your dog, folks.)
The marina is right downtown, walking distance to at least a dozen restaurants and shops. The town is pleasant and walkable. There's a supermarket about a mile away. There are also two marine supply shops a little more than a mile away (in the opposite direction).
The only drawback during my stay was noise from a hotel construction site adjacent to the marina. This was only during daylight hours and wasn't horrible.
Overall, I'd recommend Harborwalk Marina and would certainly stay there again.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Love this marina and town. Marina has the cleanest and nicest laundry and bath facilities for a small marina. Staff is awesome. Very helpful. Easy fuel and pump out. Seems to me that Georgetown has more restaurants than any town of this size. 3 new ones have opened this past year. Had an excellent (but pricey) meal at SoCo Chop House. Museums ( free mariners and rice museum) are open and very interesting. 1st Thursdays are a sip and shop evening so downtown stores are open until 7. Stop by the historical society and buy a $10 book which has the history of each o the historic homes in town. A unique number identifies each one,. A bit confusing entering the basin from north or south, but if you pay attention it is easy. Walk off the docks and you have arrived. Very dog friendly with a new dog park in East Bay Park. A slightly long walk to a dog park, but my furry crew enjoys the off leash time.

Passed up Osprey Marina for fuel and hussled here by 3:15pm. "Sorry the fuel dock is full of transients". Opens at 8am, which messes up my timing for tide and currents southbound.
Filling the dock at 5pm is one thing but at 3pm?
Low price fuel was not worth the effort.WG Editor Comment:
Marina Management Response:
Captain Ed,
Our practice is to never fill the fuel dock before 5:30 pm. Unfortunately we had a transient that had a reservation and showed up on the wrong day as well as a transient boat that grew 8’. It put us in a bind and we always try to look out for our customers, so we accommodated them instead of turning them away. Sorry for the inconvenience and hope to see you again.
Thanks.

This is the place to dock if you wish to visit Georgetown - it is an interesting stop. The marina docks are new, the staff knowledgeable and helpful, the downtown is alive and filled with restaurants, two museums, and to the right leaving the marina is Independent Seafood and some of the most beautiful old homes (one built in 1737) under stately moss-covered oaks. In fact, the champion live oak in South Carolina is only a block from the marina.

We have a small boat but they treated us like we were a big one. Nice facility. The frontage is under refurbishment but access to amenities was just fine. Walk one block and right in down town and one block from harbor walk. Ship store is not much but everything you need is down town. Be prepared though, not much open on Sunday in Georgetown.
