Disappointing. The worst marina we have been in on our 3 year journey. Although the marina had the basics, power, water and docks are in reasonable shape, there appears to be a significant lack of staff training. When we made the reservations the transient slip the instructions were vague and when we called as we were entering the marina to find out where we were going, the person on the phone could not understand we were a boat on the water and she kept trying to convince us that we needed to use the boat ramp at the side of the office and simply drop the boat in the water. She still was not getting it and when we entered the harbor the two guys on the gas dock were equally as befuddled when we told them that we had reservations for transient dockage. We finally got into a slip and when we went to the office to pay and asked some questions about the area and about Boat US discount that is advertised, the staff was unable to answer any questions and finally referred to the "manager" who also did not have any answers. Recommend going to Green Turtle Bay and skipping this one.

Loved our three days here at Kentucky Dam Marina. Break wall protects you from wind and waves. Very good Wi-Fi. We used Instacart for the very first time here and it worked fine out of Paducah. Clean showers and working laundry. Marina staff were very accommodating. Easy to get in and out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and stayed past closing time so we could get a much needed pump out. The marina has very nice floating docks and everything seemed to be well maintained. Google maps said the restaurant was a 1.3 mile walk along the highway; however, we found you can get there in half that via the "sail trail" which runs through the woods.

This is a logical stopping point above the dam, although there are other marinas nearby.

I was very disappointed on my recent visit. The dockhands seemed inexperienced. There were no incidents, but they needed direction on how to handle the lines. Also, of major concern, two out of three of their fuel pumps were not working. They said that they had been having problems with them for some time, but "I guess they came out to look at them but left before they fixed them". This can be a real issue if you need fuel for the further journey north or south.

The docks are good floating docks, good power, good wifi. Before I go back to this facility, I would certainly call them to check on the status of their fuel pumps.

The Paducah city dock is 10 or so miles below the dam on the Ohio River and is another alternative for boaters passing through the area.
