Charming little Marina right in the heart of Tarpon Springs. Impeccably maintained marina is a testament to the pride Mic and John demonstrate in maintaining their little slice of paradise. Floating docks and the cleanest marina bathroom you will find await you in this must visit little town. Walking distance to the spongedocks, and some great Greek and seafood restaurants.

We would HIGHLY recommend this marina! Mic & John were extremely hospitable, accommodating and helpful! Bath/restroom facilities are spotless! Tarpon Springs is a MUST stop! We would highly recommend the Greek food/service @ Mykonos and the Fournos Bakery. Also we would recommend the Rusty Bellies, great food & view! Tim, Patricia & Lizzie M/V Southerly

A gem of a marina. Small, well maintained with good facilities. Right in the heart of the sponge docks. Entrance is up the river, but it adds to the charm. Mick the dockmaster clearly cares about boaters and the marina. We'll be back!

Location, location, location! This no-frills marina is in the heart of the sponge-dock area. Get ready to shop and eat! Too many favorites to mention. Book early as there are only a few marinas in the area that take transient boaters.

Claim they never got our reservation. We had called on the 13th for a reservation on the 15th and assured if there was an issue we'd get a phone call. We had a reservation for the night after our Gulf crossing and it was declined when we arrived, claiming someone else had reserved ahead of us. They are friends and did not make that reservation before us. I was practically accused of lying. Very disappointed. Great location and good price but wouldn't recommend.

Tucked up in the far corner of the Anclote River right in Downtown Tourist Tarpon Springs on Dodecanese Boulevard is the very small but very nice and very convenient Tarpon Springs City Marina. With new floating docks, excellent power and water, and a very nice boater's shower restroom, the marina offers immediate access to the attractions and dining pleasures that make up the tourist area of this historic Greek sponge diving town. With a history that dates back to the beginning of the sponge diving business before 1890 the town celebrates and maintains its cultural and economic roots while appealing to the visiting public with shops, museums, restaurants and more.
While not full service, the City Marina supplies the necessary comforts and provides an excellent platform for visiting the town and the area. Other reviews have detailed the marina and services quite well. All that I can add is to make sure that, on coming up the river you stay close to the boats on the south shore. There is a wicked shoal that extends out far beyond the warning signs.
The City Marina is five plus miles up the river and, if you are in transit, there are several marinas and good anchorages that are much closer to the GICW that will save you a couple of hours of very slow travel that it takes to get all the way up the channel. If you are planning on Tarpon Springs as a destination you cannot do any better than the City Marina. The 'Jolly Trolley' stops in front of the marina and will take you into town, down to the market or even all the way down to Clearwater for an all-day ride ticket price of $5.00 ($2.50 for seniors.) We went to the Dunedin Farmers Market (every Saturday morning) and had an excellent lunch across the street at the Dunedin Smokehouse with some excellent local bears to complement the food. Go to Limani's "Take Out" for outstanding souvlaki, gyros, and salads. You must have the Greek Fries. We spent three days and still had more that we wanted to see. Make sure that you get reservations as early as you can as there are only a few transient slips and they fill up fast. WiFi "worked" most of the time but was not great. Cell reception was excellent for the big three.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Another of our favorites. So convenient to town. Could only stay one night, which was a bummer after the crossing. Had to leave early because the slip was booked the next day and they arrived early.

Nice new floating dock, but with a short finger pier. A problem for boats like ours with a side gate, but with the help of Mick the dockmaster, we made it work by backing in and climbing over our aft rail.
Just one unisex shower and restroom, with only 6 transient slips it didn't seems to be a problem. It was clean and modern.
Very good WiFi, but we found dead spots within the boat.
No laundry or laundromat nearby.
Have to get ice at a gas station a couple of blocks away.
All that said this marina is in a great location, near the sponge docks, restaurants, shops.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Highly recommend not only this marina but this town for a great stop on the Gulf! Mick was a knowledgeable and accommodating harbormaster, one of the best of our trip! He went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.
The convenience of this location to the downtown area was perfect and we ended up staying an extra night because we enjoyed so much. Although at the back of the channel, it is worth the trip to take advantage of the hospitality and location. Would recommend Katerina's for an authentic Greek meal. Costa's, Rusty Bellies are also awesome and Empire is a great breakfast spot ... all walkable. Also, make sure to enjoy the dolphin escort both in and out of the channel! Another highlight.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Mick and Dillan are great harbormasters. River is well marked all the way down didn't see anything less than 13ft. Bathroom is clean if you need to use it. Right in the middle of everything. Best marina we have been in for some time. Even had some packages sent here. A must stay!

I cannot say enough good things about Mick the harbormaster and the facility itself. Best location right at the foot of the main shopping district and very convenient to restaurants. We were delayed because of weather and then a mechanical issue and Mick held our slip which we were very grateful for. The river itself is very well marked, the marina has good depth around the slips however, be careful of the shallow area on the north side of the turning basin. Don’t miss Rusty Bellies for a great meal and specialty cocktails.

Been near two years since we were here last.
The entire place has been remodeled. Great bathrooms/showers.
Mick is still running the place and as helpful as ever.
Only one downside, that being the new floating docks are very short and a bit wobbly to walk on. This makes it difficult to board your vessel.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Very friendly and helpful staff. Spent eight days here. If you pay for six days the seventh is free. Located at the upper end of the old town waterfront it is very convenient to all attractions. You can ride the trolley for $5 per day and it covers a lot of towns in this area.
NOTE: The City is planning to rebuild all the Docks starting in March/April 2019. So call ahead for current information.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
