Beautiful clean marina. Very peaceful. Came for a night passing through and ended up having an ignition issue and the service dept here was excellent. They ordered part which came in and was installed next day!! Will definitely stay here again.

We've stopped here a few times and it's better each time. The restaurant, Salt, is special and there are a few areas in the marina set up for docktails with grills, chairs and fire pits. In Sept 24, we found a new covered boat bar. The transient dock is redone (pilings and decking). We've had communications with the manager and met the somewhat new owner, Sean, who seems to be doing a good job. Lower Potomac and easy to get in and out of.

Docks are nice. It's hot today and the pool is closed. Otherwise a great stopover.

Fixed Transient side tie dock with power for 4 boats. Good condition. Riley helped us in and it was his first day alone. He did a great job. Popular restaurant on site and two others less than a mile down the road towards end of Wynn road. We were told by a local that the stuffed Rockfish at Courtney's is excellent. We stayed on site and had fantastic crab cakes and conversation with locals in the bar area. Laundry is a ways from the transient dock up in the boat yard building. Overall a very clean facility. Would stop here again.

Fairly new transient dock. Quick easy overnight. Very helpful staff. New very popular restaurant. Great place with forest and grass to walk the dog. Safe. Parts of the marina are dilapidated but it looks like they are refurbishing.

We had our 2008 Carver hauled out & we keep it on the hard there for 3 months. Had some prop & other minor work done. From Jennifer in the office to the guys in the shop & on the dock, they are amazing to work with! And at very reasonable costs! We'll be back for sure!

Great friendly and reasonable marina - very helpful dockhand. Small craft advisory on Potomac the night we were here, very calm and protected here. the Bathrooms are good and clean. Very pet friendly - grassy areas to walk with little traffic and garbage cans for the necessary cleanup. Pool is in a great grassy area - we didn't use but looked nice. On site restaurant looks great but we went down the road a bit to try Courtneys Seafood - a bit of a dive but great local rockfish.

Great stop. Cheap diesel. Well maintained and great staff. Showers are a little primitive.

We stopped for fuel(3.90 for diesel) and decided to stay. Very quiet and undisturbed. Showers decent; restaurant around corner- 11min walk; free bike use made it 4 minutes to Pier 450. Fantastic place in and outside. Another place called Courtney's and marina to have place open soon. Interesting Confederate Cemetery 6 miles on bike; state park another mile and lighthouse. Young man helped us with lines etc with a smile!

Nice stop at the mouth of the Potomac River. They have everything you could need here. Fuel, pumpout, repairs, boat lift etc. Very nice people own and operate this facility.

Picked this marina for a resupply stop (as WG indicated they had a courtesy car). No Courtesy Car anymore. Town 3 mile away, No Uber/taxi. Only real "store" in town was a Dollar General (not great for a supply run). Unable to get quarters for the laundry. Restaurant shut down (short term issue). Ended up kind of stuck in the middle of no-mans-land with no supplies.

We did have one of the best burgers ever at a "dive bar/diner" 1 mile walk South and west. at Courtney's Restaurant-Seafood

Over all, marina seems to be slightly run down and "alittle tired looking"

    WG Editor Comment:
Courtesy car listing has been removed.

I loved this marina. I tied up here for a couple days for rest. The channel getting into the marina area is quite narrow. It was a little bouncy getting in, and there was some traffic. Go slow and you’ll be fine. The restaurant is amazing! The pool is a nice feature as well. I will definitely stop again.

Nice people, allowed us to come in and dock after hours. Pump out and fuel the next morning - opened later than most other marinas we've used. Outstanding feature: Chef Andy's crab cakes at the Sunset Restaurant behind the marina (seems to be part of the same enterprise). Absolutely the best ever, and Chef Andy said that he has recipes even better than that one. We were delighted to find Point Lookout Marina, coming in late on a 700 mile delivery down the east coast. It's exactly what we needed!

I put my boat on the hard to paint the bottom and do some other maintenance June- July 2020. The staff; Jennifer, Jake, and Victor were most helpful. It was nice to do business with Point Lookout Marina.

Wonderful marina, docks in great shape, but... it’s the second time we’ve been here and the very narrowly dredged channel is full of crab pots, including a line squarely though the narrowest part, with less than 20 feet berth. Discussed it with the marina staff (as they also also have crab potters there) and they don’t care. The channel is simply not navigable, which is a shame.

7/27/18. We were anchored in Smith Creek when thunderstorms hit. Coast Guard/NOAA reports called for more through the night. While we have ridden out many a storm on the hook, we were concerned about having to start the engines and wrapping up a crab line in the dark. We called Point Lookout Marina and Jennifer welcomed us. She gave recommendations as to the best slips considering the conditions and added that we could pull in to any open spot that we could safely maneuver. Then she walked the long dock to help us in 30kt winds. Thank you!
