Solid 4 stars for what it is and price. which is a working DIY boat yard that takes in transients as well as long term tenants. The small marina has aging floating docks so you need to watch your footing at night. At a buck a foot plus electric you get clean bathrooms and a really nice free laundry. Staff is friendly when they are around. A great feature of Jennings Boatyard is that if you get no answer on the phone, you can still come self service and leave a check or cash in the drop box. Great for after hours arrival. Fair WiFi and cell signal. Dinghy to nearby restaurants or 15 minute walk to Leadbellies restaurant next door.

So the only downside of this marina is the surface of the floating docks is less that perfect. Everything else works well. Very protected. Welcoming staff. JES Sprouse is often available for small repairs. There was no smell from the protein plant while we were here. Price is very good!

Nice spot - great location to dingy to downtown Reedville. Great ice cream at the ice cream shop. Great food at Leadbellies next store. Very nice RR and showers. Friendly staff. This is a working boat yard - therefore basic amenities- four out of 5.

Pulled in here after hours and in a storm, settled up with the office the next day. Thankful to be there! Beautiful traditional wooden boat recently completed docked near to us. At the time this seemed to be a builder's boatyard, not really operating as a marina, so we weren't expecting much. Restroom consistent with boat yard expectation rather than a marina restroom, but good enough for us. I will call ahead next time, and make an effort to visit if they want transients at that time, as they were very kind to us.

No restaurant (there is one next-door), but a well established boatyard on a protected finger with plenty of water and extremely knowledgeable staff... family owned and locally operated, limited service on weekends, new restroom/laundry building -- have used Jennings for several decades. They know boats !!
