Friendly people, easy access, and a short walk to downtown. The Shaw Cove Railroad Bridge opens on request on VHF 13; they opened the bridge for us going in and going out, but they didn't reply to our radio calls. Just ask them to open the bridge and wait a few minutes until you see it start to open. The only down side of this lovely marina is the Amtrack trains, which start operating and blowing their whistles before 0400.

Great, well protected full service marina. Need to hail RR Bridge on CH 13 to get into harbor. Great facilities and very responsive staff. When I needed an emergency repair, the staff showed up within an hour and did a phenomenal job at a reasonable price. Swimming pool is a little exposed to the parking lot, but overall it is a great hurricane hole or layover stop.
