Excellent stop! We actually sprung for a month here on our way by, and are so glad we did. This is not a resort marina—no pool, no frills, but it's such a peaceful scenic spot, adjacent to a public park, with an excellent riverwalk and a short 1-mile hoof to the downtown restaurants and pubs. This is part of the freshwater part of the bay at the mouth of the Susquehanna River, so there is a lot of invasive Eurasian Milfoil starting to choke the shallow areas nearby, but it is not presenting a hazard to navigation at all at this point. If you're just looking for a nice destination to spend some time or a great spot to keep a boat in the northern Chesapeake, and frills and amenities are not important, you'd be hard pressed to do better. The only downside we've found is the fixed docks and 3-foot average tides requires a bit of climbing to get on and off the boat a certain times of the day, which may be difficult for some folks.
