I was told by the office staff that the marina amenities were not available for transient slips. We were only allowed to use the nearby public restrooms that don't have showers. -Summer of 2024

Affordable marina with very friendly staff. Doing some construction with new facilities so they have limited temporary restrooms. Staff brought out mobile pump out station to boat. Docks are floating. Easy access to IGW and ocean.

Brand new floating docks and an affordable rate. Super protected with great restaurants on the water in the harbor. Easy walk to shops and grocery store and bars. Great town to visit

Friendly staff and nice, modern floating docks for transients. Good water pressure and 30 & 50 amp service at the slips. Ice is available at the Harbor Master office. We didn't use the restroom facilities, so can't comment on them.
There's fuel available directly across from the transient pier at Fisherman's Wharf.
Several restaurants surround the marina/harbor but they are a bit of a hike. Check it out on Google maps. We rented a golf cart, as we were wanting to get out around the town. Texas Red Golf Carts will deliver to the marina free and a 24 hour rental was $145 in October 2022. We were there a couple of days after the annual Harvest Moon Regatta…don't plan on getting a slip during the Regatta weekend.
We definitely plan on returning.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I've stayed at this marina 3 times. The location is fantastic and the dock/pier was close to the office/facilities. The charge, I think, a couple of bucks a foot; can't recall. Not too expensive I'd say. Restaurants are within walking distance. A park is nearby. Scenic, active and interesting. Maybe only 3 stars to the "hoity touty", but for a small time sailboater like me, it was perfect. Don't know how hard the hurricane hit the area, but I heard it was tough. Lot's to do if you like gunkholing, ICW, fishing, birdwatching, etc. Heck, head south and go on to S. Padre Island or Mexico. Go for it! NM
WG Editor Comment:
Editor Note: Rate as of April 2018 was $1.35/foot. See the marina listing details. As of 6/28/18 the marina was still rebuiliding.
