Update: 16.0 MLLW as of 4/27/2023 on the Bob423 track.
Favor the green side for the channel. You cannot go on a straight line from G59A to R60 or from R60 to R60A due to shoals, you must round the turn and stay off the red ATONs by 200 to 250 ft. Boats still go aground here by getting too close to R60 and R60A. The Aqua Map chart shows the 7/19/2022 USACE survey with the Bob423 track.
The 16 MLLW depth reading is from my transit of 4/27/2023. Contrary to some reports, there is no shoal across the channel, just follow the Bob423 track.
Don’t hug those reds!
USACE = US Army Corps of Engineers
ATONs = Aids TO Navigation such as buoys and daymarks
Aqua Map = a navigation app for Apple and Android devices
Bob423 Long Track = blue dotted line
