Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 38'
Draft: 4.0'Under this proposed rule, the swing bridge will open at the top of the hour, 20 minutes past the hour and 40 minutes past the hour, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. At all other times the swing bridge will open on demand.
This schedule has already been in effect--as a temporary deviation to test the impact of the restricted schedule--since 2024.08.12. As of 2024.09.20, after operating under this schedule for approximately 40 days, the Coast Guard had received only three comments (one of which was irrelevant as it referred to an earlier, more-restrictive schedule).
Unless the USCG receives a significant number of persuasive comments opposing this change by the 2025.02.07, it should be expected that this proposed change will be permanent.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
