VA: Norfolk, Elizabeth River, Southern Branch, Belt Line Bridge Deviation - February 7 - 12

Mariners are advised of a bridge deviation for the Belt Line Bridge over the Elizabeth River Southern Branch, at mile marker 2.6, in Portsmouth, VA to facilitate the replacement of the counterweight guide track. The work will require the bridge to be maintained in the closed to marine navigation position during the times listed below. Mariners able to transit the bridge in the closed position are able to do so at any time.
Dates/Times:
Friday February 7, 2025, through Wednesday February 12, 2025, the bridge will be maintained in the closed to navigation position from 8 PM to 5 AM each day.
The bridge will not be able to open for emergencies during the times listed above. At all other times, the drawbridge would operate in accordance with the operating regulations set out in 33CFR117.997(a). The project foreman may be reached at (270) 540-1414 and on VHF-FM channel 13.
