VA: Norfolk Harbor, Berkley Bridge, Schedule Deviation

Mariners be advised of an extension to a bridge deviation for the Berkley Bridge. The Berkley Bridge over the Elizabeth River Eastern Branch, at mile marker 0.4, in Norfolk, VA will continue to deviate from the published schedule to conduct repairs to the bridge. During the repairs, a barge will be in the channel reducing the horizontal clearance to 100 feet. A 30-minute advance notice will be required for vessels needing the full width of the channel.
Dates/Times for Deviation:
July 16, 2024, through December 31, 2024, 7 am - 3:30 pm, 7 days a week
Vessels that can safely transit the bridge with the reduced horizontal clearance can do so at any time. During all other times the bridge will operate in accordance with the published operating schedule outlined in 33CFR117.997(d).
