Orion Marine will conduct mechanical clamshell dredge operations at miscellaneous berths and shipping channels within Tampa Harbor, with an anticipated completion date of March 30, 2025. Work hours are 12 hours per day 7 days per week during daylight. Mechanical Clamshell Dredging will be performed within Port Tampa Bay (also inclusive of Port Sutton Channel, Port Sutton Turning Basin, Ybor Channel, Upper and Lower Sparkman Channels, East Bay Channel and Channel Extensions, Port Redwing, and Big Bend Channel). Loaded scow barges will be transported from the dredge areas (above) to the North side of Disposal Island 2D. Material from scow barges will be slurried and hydraulically pumped to the Disposal Island 2D. via submerged high-density polyethylene pipeline.

Mariners are urged to use extreme caution in the area, transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake, and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made on VHF–FM channels 13, 16 or 79 with contact vessel M-1702 (HS Liebherr 895 HD). Floating rubber pipeline and submerged polyethylene pipeline associated with the hydraulic unloading operation(s) at the Disposal Island will be utilized. Pipeline, vessels, and mooring piles will be visibly lighted.
