From: 2024-10-29 To: 2025-04-27 Location: 32.062044° N / 81.02951° W Bridge Name: Wilmington River 787 County Road Eastbound Bridge Prince Contracting has been contracted by the Georgia Department of Transportation to replace the CR 787 (Island Expressway) Drawbridges across the AICW (Wilmington River), at mile 579.9, in Savannah, GA. Construction on the first of the two high level fixed bridges is complete, immediately north of the existing bascule bridges, and now spans the waterway providing 65 feet of vertical clearance and 100 feet of horizontal clearance between the fender systems. Construction of the second high level fixed bridge is pending the demolition of the existing bascule bridge.

Draft: 5.7'December 10 at noon work was continuing on the bridge with a barge blocking most the channel under the bridge. Our beam is 16 feet and had a tight 6 feet on either side.
