Lake Erie is a great freshwater fishing destination for large mouth and small mouth bass, yellow perch, northern pike and many others, while Long Point Bay itself is one of North America's leading bass fisheries.

If you're not into fishing, the area beaches can't be beat, plus there are a number of  boating destinations such as Pottahawk, a remote beach only accessible by boat that's known for it's unofficial party on the second Sunday of July each year.  Port Dover is a very popular destination for a great meal at one of the many restaurants or to do a little shopping.  Several festivals also take place in the area during the summer - why not check one out.
