Noteworthy:

A welcome opportunity to tie to a dock, off the river. Hal Holbrook, the commodore, was extremely welcoming, and offered us rides to stores (which we did not need). The Yacht Club has seen better times, but Hal tries to improve things. Very short on staff, call early! 30A power is available. No pump-out. Water is Greenville municipal water which has a brownish tint, and some smell (same as in local hotels as we confirmed). We used it with some bleach added. Diesel is available, larger quantities on request only. The diesel pump is obviously not used much since local boats use mostly gasoline. Greenville has, as almost all towns on the river, seen better times. Still, worth a visit. If you have the money, try Doe's Eat Place, an experience like no other.
