Coinjock Marina & Restaurant

Dock hands skillfully arrange boats as close together as possible. The length of the fixed face dock was at full capacity with around 4-5 rafted boats. Since this is the fall migration south, it was expected. The restaurant's parking lot was also full on a Sunday night-- appears to be popular with locals. The 16oz prime rib dinner was tasty and filling.

Dock hands were good at getting boats tied up very closely together. Many boats even rafted together. Unable to leave when we needed to due to boat rafted closely behind us and boat tied very closely in front of us. Maybe could have stayed and departed as needed with both a bow AND stern thruster?? Did this "must stop" on the ICW this once.

We were docked at Coinjock when our plans changed and had to fly home to Florida. We contacted J.D. and he was extremely helpful in arranging Jim to drive us to Norfolk airport for a fee since getting a rent a car was difficult. J.D. and his dock hands along with my husband repositioned the boat at the dock. Jim the driver was on time and got us to the airport. Upon our return after 2 weeks away all was well on the boat. So if every a situation arises and you need to secure your boat for any length of time this marina is it.

Staff is great, very helpful at the dock. Food is wonderful at the restaurant and so is the service and yes the prime rib is worth it! We had a mechanical/electrical issue and the staff was very accommodating with us getting it serviced. Top notch.

Situated directly on the ICW, the approach and tie up are very easy. SImply contact the marina on VHF channel 16 to see which direction the current is running. From that point on, it is as easy as an alongside tie. A courteous and experienced staff will then help you get situated.
