Draft: 3.0'Lock 37, Bolsover - top. One night 5/23/2024. Quiet with pleasant scenery. This relaxing location is ideal for resting after upbound through 5 locks and one swing bridge. Likewise, if going downbound then a good location to sort out the transit to Simcoe Lake. There is no power, but the shower is available for $3 Canadian. The "grey" wall for overnight adequate for multiple boats. I recommend an overnight at L37 Bolsover.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 31'
Draft: 3.0'Upbound lift, according to the lock master, about halfway a whirlpool at the chamber front will develop. With some art the lock master tries to have it push the boats into the dock wall. Sometimes it works, sometimes it reverses during lift and pulls the boat away from the dock wall. Be mindful of the whirlpool and prepare for a pulling effect. I needed hands on the bow line and bow thruster to manage the effect. 5/23/2024
