The City of Philadelphia is located about 35 miles above the Delaware River entrance of the C&D Canal. This is an exciting and easy port for cruising boats to reach and offers something for everyone (particularly history buffs). When you step off your vessel at Penn’s Landing, you will be walking in the footsteps of William Penn, Philadelphia’s founder. Strolling the cobblestone streets of Philadelphia is an enriching experience, full of big-city excitement and all within a 10-block area of the waterfront. The Philadelphia waterfront is an excellent central location for visiting the historic area of Center City; also within easy walking distance is Society Hill offering a wide choice of shopping, sightseeing and dining opportunities.
