Galveston is a great place to live and to visit. There is constant activity and there is no way to list all that there is to see and do. The beach offers seemingly endless stretches of sand with a boardwalk for biking and walking with restaurant and shopping stops along the way. Pedestrians, bicycles and electric and pedal carts are plentiful throughout the summer and on winter weekends. Galveston hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year including the Galveston Mardi Gras, the Lone Star Rally and the Dickens on The Strand festival. Galveston is also known for its haunted history, and there are several ghost tours that offer a spooky look into the city's past.
