This delightful, historic town is worth a stop of a day or more. Merrickville has a wonderful collection of impressive stone, brick and log architecture. Its old blockhouse, the largest on the canal, has been turned into the interesting Blockhouse Museum. The town also offers restaurants, numerous shops, a supermarket, a bank, a Post Office and a liquor store.
