Noteworthy: | The dock is designed for commercial shipping and is not meant for recreational vessels however as with all public docks in the Bahamas, tying up is permitted if it does not conflict with commercial traffic. There is usually room for at least one recreational vessel and rafting is always an option. Plenty of fenders are required to protect against damage from the corrugated steel seawall and long dock lines are recommended. Extra vigilance is advised if entering on a rising tide because the strong currents rushing towards the bridge make slowing down and stopping a challenge. Once alongside some acrobatics are required to disembark. There is no power or water on the dock, but the dockage is only $10 per night. |
