| Noteworthy: | Excellent floating docks right in downtown Knoxville. 12' depths at normal pool. You can dock inside or outside 2 long docks running parallel to river. No services. Convenient trash bins. Pedestrian path runs between train tracks and dock. Pedestrian bridge to town a bit upstream, as our public restrooms. Pedestrian crossing a bit downstream to access greenway and the university campus. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance (though a quite steep hill at the start). Free trolley service covers downtown and the university (again, after walking up a short steep hill). The Volunteer Navy makes intense use of the docks for home games. Expect rafting on the outside. |
