| Noteworthy: | Short tie up wall north and south of lock on east wall. No overnight services. The town of Stillwater is on the west shore of the Hudson River and is a nice walk from the lock. Go north on lock access road 0.4 miles and turn west, crossing the canal and then the Hudson River. At the junction of Route 4/32 (0.5 miles) you will find a Stewarts Gas Station and convenience store. Continuing south on route 4/32 you pass Moreno’s Pizza (0.6 mile), Frankie O’s Pizza (0.7 mile), Pat’s Subs and Pizzas and Don’s Pizza (both 0.8 mile). Lots of pizza within 1 mile of lock. At mile 0.9 you come to Blockhouse Park in Stillwater, which is really the end of shopping in this area. |
