Anchorage Information

Three Rooker Bar

  • Location: St. Joseph Sound
  • Mile Marker: Mile 143 - GIWW
  • Lat / Lon: N 28° 07.585' / W 082° 49.850'
  • Depth: 4-8 Feet
  • Description:

Enter around the north end of the bar, dropping anchor in the crescent near the beach in 4- to 8-foot depths over a soft mud bottom. Use the depth sounder and line-of-sight navigation, avoiding the white sand bars that run out from the beach. On holiday weekends, this normally placid anchorage becomes a maelstrom of activity, with jet skis, small outboards and a floating hamburger stand all vying for space.
