Vessels wishing to anchor at O'briens Cay are advised to anchor on the south half of the cay along a narrow band of sand that extends from the shoreline. The holding is acceptable for an overnight stay and the protection from easterly winds is good. There are strong reversing currents sweeping through the anchorage as well as submerged rocks that must be taken into account when choosing the spot to drop anchor.
