- Description:
The outer anchorage at Treasure Cay is a reasonable place to wait for the approach of a cold front because it is well protected from the SW-NNE. As the front passes be prepared to leave as the anchorage will become very uncomfortable due to easterly winds creating long fetch and waves running the length of the Sea of Abaco. If in this anchorage after a cold front passes, moving to the inner anchorage or across to Guana Cay 6-7nm away should be a priority.
