- Description:
Top Gallant Basin is a small man-made basin on the south end of the Grand Lucayan Waterway.
The basin was intended as the site of exclusive canal homes, but the development failed in the early 1980s and has remained empty since. The basin is well protected from all directions and the holding is excellent with room for 2-3 vessels. It is not the most picturesque anchorage, and the bugs can be fierce when the winds are low, but it is a safe place to ride out heavy weather.
