Skipton Creek
- Location: Wye River
- Lat / Lon: N 38° 53.063' / W 076° 05.856'
- Depth: 8+
- Tide: 2 feet
- Description:
Peaceful anchorage with good wind protection but open enough to catch a breeze on a humid day. By far one of our favorites in all of The Chesapeake. 8' depth MLW, great holding in mud ..... but anchor & chain come up fairly clean. Well protected and good place to walk a dog at Wye Landing. If you visit during crab season, you get the benefit of catching some of the finest crabs in the bay as well. Well worth the trip up The Wye East River, which is a lovely trip in itself
