- Description:
We entered the creek at low tide following sonar charts and stayed more to the deeper waters on the southern side upon entry and traversing in until we anchored in the center where we observed between 9'-10' of water on our gauges while anchoring. Anchor caught on first try. We had out 80' of chains, had plenty of swing room, and saw a visual tide difference of about 6' while there. Zero traffic, dolphins playing all around, great views, and a little wind protection from a small section of trees East. Very peaceful although you can hear the low hum of ships nearby on teh Savannah River. Didn't bother us, might bother some. Our anchor came up clean (forgot to note that), we followed our tracks back out and had zero issues. We would have no issues staying here again although it is worth noting we are in a sailing catamaran with a 3' draft.
