The Narrows

• Description:

  A beautiful cove just North of Man O War Cay with a nice sand beach and covered Pavillion. The NE portion of the cove is hard scrabble and difficult to find an area to set your anchor. Moving NW of the cove where the anchor marker is you will find a mix of sand and grass with excellent holding. The anchorage has good protection from N to SE winds, but there can be swell that comes from the North. It's an easy dinghy ride into town through the north entrance and doable even during low tide with some care. Prop marks in the grass help mark dinghy route. Watch for debris in the shallows as there are still remnants of Dorian. It's about a 15 minute walk to town from the beach in the cove as an alternative.
