  Northbound and Westbound tugs can be disconcerting until you adjust to them bearing down on you before making the turn in the ICW. Wakes are not an issue as they dissipate before reaching anchored boats. The anchorage has very good holding. The views are nice and you are unlikely to ever have anyone anchor on top of you. Excellent stop at the Southbound (West) end of the Alligator River - Pungo Canal.
