- Description: The closer you get to Cayo Alcatracito the greater the protection provided by the reef to the southeast. If draft permits, there is excellent protection in 3.5m of water in the canal between Cayo Alcatracito and Cayo Alcatraz Grande, but it will require very careful pilotage to enter the canal.
