- Description:
The north anchorage on Manjack is arguably the prettiest. The small bay defined by a rocky point to the south and a beautiful beach sweeping to the north. Holding is excellent but there is little protection from wind and current.
In settled southeasterly conditions the anchorage is suitable for overnight anchoring, but if the winds change to any direction other than southeast the anchorage can become quite rolly. Most boaters use the anchorage as a day anchorage to access the beach areas. If winds rise above 15 kts or if heavy weather is forecast, your best course of action is to leave the area.
