- Description:
Musha Cay is a private island belonging to the illusionist David Copperfield, who also happens to own Rudder Cut Cay to the south. Both Cays are secured by caretakers and video surveillance so going ashore is strictly prohibited, especially when the owner or his guests are in residence. If you look hard, you will see the rooftop of a French Country Chateau peeking out from the trees on the highest part of the cay.
Privacy aside there is a very nice anchorage opposite the swimming beach on Musha Cay. In prevailing easterlies the cay and the surrounding sand banks provide good protection and one can generally expect a calm night on anchor. If the wind shifts into the south to north half of the compass, an uncomfortable chop will develop when the winds are above 15 knots. The holding is very good and for one night at least you can enjoy the same sunset views as the 1%.
