- Depth: 10'-12'
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
The Cambridge Cay mooring field is the southernmost facility in the ECLSP. There is good protection from all directions however vessels that sail on a mooring may find themselves rolling during periods of maximum tidal flow as vessels tend to lay to the current and not the wind. Like other mooring fields within the ECLSP there are prepared hiking trails ashore that provide opportunities to explore if one is sheltering from inclement weather. While smaller and less dramatic than the Warderick Wells North field, many experienced cruisers prefer the quieter and more intimate ambiance of Cambridge Cay. If you wish to anchor, remain at least 100 yds south of the mooring field. Do not try to squeeze between the moorings and the beach.
