- Description:
The Oyster Cay West Anchorage is a good alternative to the Highborne West Anchorage because there a seldom boats anchored here. It provides adequate protection for an over night stop in settled conditions, but the anchorage is wide open in all directions except east. During the day, boats anchored here are also subjected to the endless stream of wakes from vessels entering and exiting the marina.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
